Building Drainage

Roof drainage

Flat roofs are sensitive architectural areas. That is why it is especially critical to plan their drainage systems professionally. When rain falls onto a flat roof, large volumes of water can collect rapidly. Unless there is an effective way of draining off precipitation, this can lead to excess loads being placed on the building's structure. ACO Haustechnik offers functional solutions which are specially designed for flat roof areas and which ensure the water is drained effectively. For smaller surfaces, gravity drainage systems are the solution. For larger roofs of 150 m² or more, siphonic systems can be installed. Our Application Technology department can assist you in designing the right drainage and carrying out the isometric calculations for a siphonic drainage system.

ACO Gravity drainage

  • Systems made of following materials
    • Cast iron
    • Stainless steel
  • Used for
    • Small roof areas, < 150 m² per gully
    • Plenty of space
    • Short collecting line

ACO Siphonic drainage

  • Systems made of following materials
    • Cast iron
    • Stainless steel
  • Used for
    • Large roof areas, ≥ 150 m² per gully
    • Sufficient drop 4,200 mm between roof and pipe system
    • Where installation options are restricted under the roof (no change of gradient possible)
    • For long collecting lines
